I am a 46-year-old woman who had previously exercised on a regular basis but was not happy with the results of my efforts. I wanted a toned body but had not accomplished it. I had belonged to several fitness centers before, but did not get the guidance I needed until I was introduced to Mind & Body Fitness.
I currently work out five to six days per week, combining weight training and some cardiovascular activity. I also follow a nutrition plan that John Henry designed for me. I eat five times per day, including lean protein, starchy carbs and plenty of vegetables in each meal. I have never been considered overweight, but my ratio of fat to muscle has significantly improved. When I started training at Mind & Body Fitness, my body fat was 24% and I wore a size 2. I am no at 15.8% body fat and wear a size 0! The amazing thing is that my weight only dropped by three pounds, yet I dropped a whole pant size! I've now learned that it is not what the scale says, it is about how much body fat you have that is covering the lean, toned muscle underneath.
The benefits that I have experienced personally are many. The transformation in my body is amazing. I am leaner, more toned and have more definition than I have ever had. I am stronger than ever and can do things I enjoy without injuring myself. I find that I'm hardly ever sick and my energy level has significantly increased. I can also east as much as I want (the correct foods of course!) A very significant benefit, that is not so obvious, is the stress release my workouts provide. Plus, I'm much more confident in myself.
