The staff, or T.E.A.M. MBF, works together as a cohesive, solid unit to provide MBF members and clients the best fitness experience possible. The T.E.A.M. strives to provide the highest quality services while educating and motivating members and clients to be the best they have ever been.

Dawn Saltis, RKT, LMT
Director of Operations

Dawn Saltis is a Registered Kinesiotherapist and Licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated from the University of Toledo with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a concentration in Kinesiotherapy. She has been with MBF since May 2000. Prior to starting at MBF, she worked at an outpatient rehabilitation clinic where she specialized in Sports Medicine, Pain Management and Aquatic Therapy. Her physical therapy and medical fitness background has helped bring a new level of training to MBF. She assists the other trainers in designing and modifying exercise programs for clients with injuries, disease or other special concerns.

Dawn believes in a pro-active approach to fitness. She feels many people end up in physical therapy that don't need to. "With a proper strength training and flexibility program incorporated into your lifestyle, just 2-3x per week, most injuries could be prevented and pain significantly diminished. This is regardless of age. Most of my clients are over 60, with many in their 80s! Who doesn't want fewer visits to the doctor or rehab center? Turn those visits into trips to the fitness center and feel great about what you are doing for yourself!"

Jessica Benavides, MS, RD, LD
Nutrition Program Director

Jessica Benavides graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in psychology. She completed her dietetic internship at New York University, where she received her Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.

Jessica believes that healthy eating habits are essential and should always be viewed as a way of life, rather than as a set of restrictions. She provides tools and strategies to hold individuals accountable to ensure fat-loss and long-term maintenance. She believes the key to looking and feeling better is providing supportive nutrition, which focuses on meal frequency and food selection, synergistically with a comprehensive strength training and dynamic cardio program. "Both programs combined will allow one's body to reach it's metabolic potential and ensure a lean and tone physique."
